What is 29-Twenty Nine?

Tomorrow – October 31st, restaurant 29-Twenty Nine will be serving all dishes at the price of 29 only.

After great success in south Mumbai, 29-Twenty Nine comes to Malad west. As compared to other vegetarian restaurants in Malad, this one will serve pan-Indian vegetarian food from 29 states of India. Yes, there will be flavours, spices and smells from 29 states featured on this very extensive and interesting menu.

The brain and love child of Nishek Jain – engineer turned restaurateur, 29 originated in its own unique way. After travelling to the heart of India diverse regions and states and savouring each place’s unique gastronomic fare. Nishek wanted to introduce the average urban foodie to some truly authentic Indian food.

Going beyond the tried, tested and typified Punjabi, Mughlai and Udipi fare that gets passed around as “Indian” food, 29-Twenty Nine brings to the table food from Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, Haryana, Telangana, Jharkhand and more such. ‘We wish to bring secret recipes from within the local kitchens of the 29 states of our country’, says the young Nishek. ‘Hence, along with most regional favourites, we shall be offering regular regional-meals from time to time to enhance the culinary experience of our patrons’, he shares.
