This DIY Ganesha series is a GHP Ganesh Chaturthi 2018 special for our dear kiddos!

We are all eager to welcome Lord Ganesha this week. Kids love to celebrate their favourite and friendly Ganesha’s festival with great enthusiasm. So here are some DIY Ganesha Kids’ Crafts to make their favourite elephant-headed, (eco)friendly Ganeshas.

Paper craft DIY Ganesh 1


  • Colour paper of your choice
  • Glue
  • Googly eyes (optional)
  • Stones, beads or stickers

How to make it

  • Draw and cut five rectangles from same colour chart paper. Stick two cylinders horizontally and two vertical on bottom of it.
  • Cut a small rectangle and stick it to make a paper loop.
  • Cut a round edge bow shape (refer image) and pass it through small paper loop. This will be the head of Ganesh.
  • Stick head piece to body part and add a trunk on head loop.
  • Stick eyes and decorate Ganesh with mukut.

How to make it

  • Draw and cut heart shapes of different sizes from a colour chart paper. Cut one heart shape along with a trunk (refer image).
  • Stick the shapes as shown in the image to create Ganesh.
  • Decorate the Ganesh with a mugat, tusk and ladoo.
