GHP: Something old, something new

Goregaon, like much of Mumbai, is a mix, a melting pot. It is already quite a suburban attraction – what with the glitzy malls, powerhouse corporates, luxury residences, new-age schools and zippy flyovers changing the façade on a daily basis. The background to all of this rampant newness is the generations of habitats that have evolved over some five decades, the natural surroundings that are the long-standing pride of the city and the intrinsic culture that has grown from this history.

In this melting pot are those who have chosen to live here, work here and even do both. Goregaon Highway Pulse is for all of these people.

Having lived just shy of the highway for the last six years, I thought of writing this blog to discover Goregaon’s various facets and to familiarise myself and my readers with all that there is to share and discuss about the neighbourhoods. I think of it as a platform to engage people and bring them on board with the latest happening, events and affairs in the area. What’s fun to do, what’s great to eat, where to head to, what to think about, whom to be inspired by… all of this and more will be on

When you know more about something, you grow interested in it. Interest leads you to form a connection. And connection then turns into a sense of belonging. So, let’s start looking within our neighbourhoods and discover all that they have to offer!

It would be great to have your views, comments and feedback coming in. These would help GHP grow in its substance and in its reach.
