Minis and more | The Little Cakery

I noticed this new cake shop called The Little Cakery near Goregaon east station. So I decided to check it out a few days ago. And I was pleasantly surprised. First by how really little and charming it looked. And then by how reasonable its charges are.

In a time when buying cupcakes can be a wallet-breaking affair, The Little Cakery wins you over with its very affordable menu.

What is Little Cakery?

This tiny cake shop and café serves occasion cakes, cupcakes, teatime cakes as well as savouries like puffs, sandwiches, rolls and croissants. It also serves mini cupcakes, which I tried and rather liked.

How’s the food here?

I bought 6 mini cupcakes for about ₹50 – which is a steal these days. Flavoured as Oreo, strawberry and red velvet, they were quite tasty. Not too sweet, not overly iced, I think they’re a great takeaway when you’ve made a rushed plan to visit someone and need something nice to carry home.

The vegetable puff and the chicken puff were also quite well made. I’ve been having some awfully over-salted and sickening puffs lately. Even from some of Bandra’s “legendary”cafés. I was glad to find a place closer to home which didn’t disappoint me on the puff factor. Let’s hope The Little Cakery maintains that quality.

What more?

I noticed that The Little Cakery serves Davidoff coffee – freshly prepared for you as per your sugar preferences. That’s unique, I’d say.

The place has a counter seating for 2-3 people on one side. I did notice a lot of college kids ogling away and downing some savouries. I think with it’s reasonable pricing, pleasant ambience and courteous staff, it will be a good option for a quick dessert-snack.

The Little Cakery provides delivery service for a minimum order of 200, within a 1-km radius. Do check it out.
