What’s the best thing to give your kids once they’re loaded on Diwali sweets? Creative things to do, is my answer. Craft is one of the best solutions for parents who’re at the end of their tether. God bless crafty souls like The Rainbow Tree, a DIY Diwali kids craft brand based in Goregaon east.
GHP was only to delighted to get a sneak peek into The Orange Box from them – loaded with Diwali craft activities for kids.
Diwali sees us all up to our gills in cleaning, shopping and other hectic activities. Preparing the home, the family and the workplace for Diwali becomes a very demanding task. As for me, it leaves me with little time and even lesser energy to cater to a kid’s recreational needs. My son, aged 5.8 years, is always keen to participate in festivities. The Orange Box by The Rainbow Tree comes as a great option. It gives kids something creative, constructive and practical to engage in for hours on end. And let’s not forget the long Diwali holidays from school…
What is The Orange Box?
The Orange Box is the best gift for young children (age 5 to 7 years) this Diwali. Trust me, open it and it’s a delightful hamper of 5 DIY Diwali craft activities for kids. From ear-bud painting to diya decoration, your young one’s are in for a real treat.
There’s a rocket greeting card that your kid would love to send into the universe. A colourful toran needs minimum parental input. It promises the most vibrant Diwali welcome . You’ll have happy shining faces there, once you and your child put up this toran on your door. Better than any other sparklers, don’t you think?
What I loved about The Orange Box is its convenience. Instructions are clear. Each activity is individually packed and all materials are provided. It makes for open play and reduced parental stress. That’s what you need from the array of Diwali craft activities for kids.
The Orange Box costs 500. I think it’s totally worth it. Stock up on these if you’re having friends over for a taash party. While you’re crafting card games, keep the kids busy with The Orange Box!
Who is The Rainbow Tree?
I chatted with Palak Podar, resident of Goregaon east and a co-founder of The Rainbow Tree. She and her sister, Khushboo Khemka, began creating specialised craft kids for children. Both trained educators – one in the Waldorf Steiner method – they believe in providing “off screen solutions” for families with children.
The Rainbow Tree’s craft kits are varied, as per age groups of 1.5 to 12 years. Palak and Khushboo create regular craft kits as well as those to the tune of festivals and events. One can even request for customised kits for a birthday party, play dates, wedding function or any other event that needs children to be engaged in fun and meaningful activities. The Rainbow Tree’s birthday boxes are rather popular in Goregaon east. They are priced reasonably, beginning at 150. Boxes can also be couriered to other cities, with extra charges being applicable.
The Rainbow Tree also conducts summer camps and other activities for kids through the year. Now isn’t this a treasure trove?!
