Brew 500 ml water + Pepper clove + Few basil leaves + Fresh Grated Turmeric + Grated Ginger, simmer all of this to bring it to 250 ml. Sip a hot cup of this tea when going through a bout of cold. Works Wonders!
Herbal Milk for flu
Make a paste with fresh turmeric, ginger and cinnamon. Dissolve this paste into warm milk along with little honey. Sipping on this milk will ward off your cold and flu.
Turmeric powder for diarrhea
One teaspoon of haldi powder along with water can offer relief from a loose stool. Diarrhea is common in the monsoon season and consuming turmeric can increase immunity and keep stomach troubles at bay.
Curry Powder for tasty veggie dishes
Add black pepper to haldi powder and use in vegetable preparations. Either black pepper or oil must be used to increase the bioavailability of curcumin, the active compound in turmeric.
Turmeric Juice for the sneezing kids
Squeeze out a teaspoon of turmeric juice from the fresh root and mix it with a teaspoon of honey. Give it to your kids for cough and cold and see it disappear in no time.
